Rhodium Chloride Hydrate

Rhodium chloride hydrate is dark red crystalline powder, which is a precious metal compound. It has odor of acid and tend to deliquesce. When temperature is above 100℃, it starts to decompose into Rh2O3 and HCl. Rhodium(III) chloride is soluble in water, hydrochloric acid, acetone and ethyl alcohol, however not soluble in diethyl ether. Sponge rhodium metal is the raw material.
