Nickel Sulfide

Nickel sulfide is black powder, which is metal sulfide. It is stable at room temperature and pressure. γ-NiS turns into β-NiS at 396℃. α-NiS dissolve in hydrochloric acid and change into Ni(OH)S in air. They gets different density and all dissolve in nitric acid and aqua regia. Nickel chloride(NiCl2) and NH4Cl are the raw material.
