Applications – What is dysprosium oxide used for
Dysprosium(III) oxide is additive for yttrium iron and yttrium aluminum garnet, which could serve as control materials for nuclear reactors. It is raw material for preparation of dysprosium lamp that have property of high brightness and good lighting color. Due to its strong property of cathode emitting , dysprosium oxide is also used as cathode coating. It is raw material for metal dysprosium, glass, NdFeB permanent magnet. In functional ceramic, dysprosium oxide used in production of piezoelectric ceramics, semi-conductive ceramics and capacitor ceramics.
