Yttrium metal mainly apply to production of red phosphor ( YVO4:Eu, Y2O3:Eu, Y2O2S:Eu) of colour TV picture tube. It is also for some ray filter, superconductor, super alloy and special glass.
Yttrium ingot can apply as nodulizing agent in nodular cast iron, desoxidant for vanadium and other nonferrous metals. It can improve property and strength of some alloys and metals as chromium, molybdenum, titanium zirconium, aluminum magnesium.
