Manganese Carbide

Manganese carbide is black crystal powder, which is metal carbide.  It is soft crystal solid or bright needle-like crystal. Mn3C is insoluble in concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, how it can be decomposed by water or dilute acid to form manganese hydroxide, hydrogen and hydrocarbon. It burns in oxygen quickly. Mn3C tend to react with fluorine and chlorine. Manganese powder is the raw material.
