Dysprosium sulfide is reddish brown crystal powder, which is a kind of rare earth metal sulfide thermoelectric material. Its owns very high Seebeck coefficient and conductivity. After hot pressing, dysprosium trisulphide change from α-phase to γ-phase cubic crystal. Doping lanthanum and cerium could reduce the sintering temperature and increase the stability of dysprosium trisulphide. At low temperature, the thermoelectric property of Dy2S3 is bad. At temperature higher than 500℃, Dy2S3 shows relatively good thermoelectric property. The thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT value) of Dy2S3 is relatively high at high temperature.
