Bismuth Sulfide

Bismuth sulfide is black or brown powder, which is minor metal sulfide and inorganic chemical compound. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. Bismuth subnitrate pentahydrate or bismuth metal is the raw material.

Applications

Bismuth trisulfide is photoelectric material, because B2S3 own property of environmentally friendly, photoconduction and non-linear optics response. Bismuth trisulfide is widely used in solar cell, photoelectric diode array and infrared spectroscopy.

Bi2S3 is also raw material for other bismuth compounds, easily cutting steel and micro-electronics.
